Thailand Layoffs

According to Thailand World Journal December 18th, the deputy chief executive of the Ministry of labour, Pala Cha, said that between January 1st and December 12th this year, a total of 574 enterprises went bankrupt and the number of affected people reached 47064.

Another 252 companies have a tendency to lay off workers, with a total number of 112 thousand and 259 employees.

The first 5 largest number of layoffs were the highest number of layoffs, followed by a total of 9479 redundancies in the batwan City, 33 from enterprises, 9232 from Samut Prakan, 79 from enterprises, 5189 from Bangkok, 87 from enterprises, and 4183 from Dacheng Prefecture, respectively, from 18 enterprises.

The number of employees in 50-299 enterprises, the largest number of failures, a total of 165, layoffs of 13 thousand and 118 people.

Followed by the number of employees in 10-49 enterprises, a total of 161, the reduction of 2990 people.

The number of employees in 1-9 enterprises is 149, and the number of employees is 418. The number of employees in 300-999 enterprises is 69, and the number of employees is 13 thousand and 529.

The number of layoffs is 75, and the number of layoffs is 12 thousand and 871.

The second is the jewelry and furniture industry, a total of 53, the reduction of 5705 people; computer maintenance and hardware consulting companies have 47, 1836 job cuts; family and personal products sales enterprises have 45, dismissed 256 people.
