Notice On "Canadian Investment Environment Exposition"

Notice of invitation to participate in Canadian investment environment briefing


The relevant departments, bureaux, chambers of Commerce, associations, societies and related enterprises of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and cities under separate planning shall be:


The Eleventh China International Investment and Trade Fair will be held in Xiamen on 8-11 September 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the eleventh session).

The Canadian Ministry of foreign affairs of China World Trade Center will hold a series of activities such as "Canadian investment environment exposition" jointly with the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China during the meeting.

The following specific matters will be notified as follows:

(six) contents of the meeting:


The meeting was attended by the director of Canada's federal investment promotion agency, who led Canada's most powerful representatives to introduce Canada's stable investment environment, abundant natural resources and preferential business opportunities, attracting Chinese enterprises to go out and invest in it.


The conference focuses on the favorable investment conditions and favorable investment environment in British Columbia, Albert, Ontario and Quebec provinces.

It mainly involves the following areas: (1) the Asia Pacific Gateway plan: the Canadian federal government will invest 1 billion Canadian dollars to improve and strengthen the infrastructure construction of the Pacific coast along the Western Pacific (including railways, ports, highways, etc.), making British Columbia a pportation hub linking the Asia Pacific and North America.

The Canadian government hopes that Chinese enterprises will take an active part in investment. Enterprises can explore the possibility of participating in infrastructure construction investment and engineering contracting cooperation. (2) energy: oil, natural gas, oil sands, hydropower and mining; (3) technology: Life Sciences, nanotechnology, aviation, aerospace, environmental technology and Bioengineering; (4) communication: telecommunications, information and communication technology; (5) other: telemedicine.


At that time, officials from relevant government departments in Canada will give speeches and answer questions about investment on the spot.

After the meeting, a working lunch was arranged to facilitate the free exchange of guests and guests.

Two, registration matters


In view of the approaching period, please complete the Canada Investment Environment Description registration form (Appendix) as soon as possible, and fax it to the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce before August 25th. At that time, you will send invitations to the Xiamen Organizing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the fair to receive the invitation.

The conference does not charge any fees, and the participants pay their own expenses.
