US Steel Exports Increased By 7.2% In May.

According to data released by the Steel Statistics Bureau on 25, the US steel exports in May increased by 7.2% over April.



The United States exported 1 million 80 thousand short tons of steel in May, compared with 910000 tons in 07 years and 1 million 10 thousand tons in April.

The increase in exports was due to the weakness of the US dollar and the weakening of domestic steel demand in the US in the 5 months of 08 years ago.

The steel exports in the US increased by 19% to 4 million 900 thousand tons over the same period of 07 years, while imports decreased by 11% to 1 million 170 thousand tons over the same period of 1-5 years.

08 years ago, the United States ranks among the eighth largest steel exporters in the world, surpassing Brazil and Taiwan, China.

In the 07 year, the United States was the tenth largest steel exporter in the world after Brazil and Taiwan.



In the 1-5 month of steel exports in the United States, the export of semi-finished products increased by 67% to 230000 tons a year, the annual export growth of changsteel increased by 16% to 1 million 240 thousand tons, and the export of flat steel increased by 16% to 2 million 670 thousand tons a year.
