The AAFA praised the US House of representatives for passing the US manufacturing Enhancement Act (H.R. 4380) by affirming votes, which will immediately restore trade preferences that create jobs.

Previously, this law was called the miscellaneous tariff and trade act. 2010 the US manufacturing Enhancement Act was put forward by the representative of Michigan Sander Levin, which was passed by 378 votes to 43 in the house of Representatives. Before that, the American clothing and Footwear Association (AAFA) sent a letter to every member who asked to pass the bill quickly.

"Obviously, our economy is on the verge of recovery," said Burke, chief executive of the association.

Manufacturing opportunity

The opportunities created by strengthening the law may promote our economy, create and retain jobs for Americans, and save costs for hard-working American families.

Burke said: "just like exports, imports play an important role in our overall economic health. Without imports, we can not create jobs or keep job opportunities. The products no longer produced by the United States are bound to rise in price.

In fact, this bill provides us manufacturing industries with key production inputs they need. These inputs ensure that the manufacturing industry is competitive in today's economy.

"I admire the hard work of representing Levin. It is his diligent work that brought the bill to the house of Representatives and dealt with fairly. Besides all political gestures, the bill really reflects the interests of the American consumers, the interests of the manufacturers and the interests of the US economy.

The clothing and footwear industry in the United States will continue to encourage elected officials to support this legislation in the process of sending this bill to the Senate and finally to the president's desk.

The drafting process of the strengthening act is very pparent. The draft law contains hundreds of regulations, expands the scope of tariff preferences, and reduces tariffs on goods, raw materials and other production inputs that the United States no longer produces.

About 48 regulations directly benefit the US textile, clothing and footwear industries, and American workers and American consumers in these industries will benefit directly.

These Regulations are very important for US manufacturers.

In many cases, these regulations will reduce or cancel tariffs on production inputs required by US manufacturers.

In other cases, products containing American raw materials will enjoy tariff concession.

In these two cases, tariff concessions enable us companies to produce products that are globally competitive, and the products they produce are either sold in the United States or exported.
