Quebec, Canada Sesso, a small town in Finland, is trying to revitalize its economy in a real sense. The first batch of heavy industrial equipment in the town will be transported from Finland to the town through Ottawa next month.

It is said that these equipment will be used to transform a hardwood pulp mill in Sesso into a key facility for producing artificial cotton, which is in great demand in Asia and the world.

Fortress Paper Co., Ltd Finland Stora Enso Oyi Cellulose purchased three biogas digesters and special processing equipment. These equipment will be used to transform Cerso Factory from a pulp factory to a factory producing dissolved wood pulp. The dissolved wood pulp will be used to produce artificial cotton. The pulp market is declining, while the demand for artificial cotton is huge and the prospect is bright.

Artificial cotton will gradually become a substitute for cotton, because it has the characteristics of cotton, but has better water absorption and permeability. In addition, the market position of artificial cotton is very good, because farmers change to lower cost crops, the world cotton supply is decreasing.

Fortress will invest US $153 million, including the construction of a joint power plant.

The president of the company said after returning from China, Rayon He was very pleased with the growing demand for dissolved wood pulp from manufacturers.

The plant has about 300 employees and is expected to produce 200000 tons of dissolved wood pulp every year. In fact, the company expects to be profitable, because the spot price of this product is 1650 dollars/ton, and the net output and delivery cost of the factory is about 600 dollars.
