According to Zhengzhou customs statistics, 1~10 months of this year, Henan exported 920 million dollars of textile and clothing, an increase of 16.9% over the same period last year, and the growth rate exceeded the national average.


The export rebate rate of textile enterprises has increased by 3 percentage points this year.

According to the latest tax rebate standard, Henan textile enterprises will get more benefits.

The export tax rebate rate will ease the pressure on the textile industry in the short term and stabilize the export enterprises' market confidence.

In addition, the quota restrictions on textile trade between China and Europe have been abolished in January 1st this year.

Affected by the changes in the export tax rebate policy, the export situation of Henan's textile and clothing has also changed.

Although general trade still occupies a leading position, processing trade has increased significantly.

Exports of Textile General trade increased by 15.4% over the same period last year, accounting for 92.8% of the total textile exports in the whole province, and the export of processing trade increased by 39.3% over the same period last year.

This year, nearly 1/2 of Henan's textile exports to the European Union, the United States and China's Hongkong region, but most of the export products have low added value and strong substitutability.

Under the constraints of global financial crisis, rising labor costs and appreciation of the renminbi, the survival space of low value-added textile and garment products will continue to be squeezed. It will be difficult to rely solely on the current volume expansion.


In this regard, experts put forward several suggestions: first, textile enterprises should increase investment in scientific research, improve product grades, seize the opportunity to increase the tax rebate rate, and realize the pformation and upgrading of the textile industry as soon as possible; two, encourage and guide enterprises to improve their production processes, do a good job in energy saving and emission reduction, and reduce environmental costs; three, play the guiding role of trade associations, reduce vicious competition among enterprises and avoid anti-dumping risks; four, develop international marketing networks and establish direct sales channels for exporters.
