Fujian provincial environmental protection department said Chen Jinghe was the chairman and legal representative of Zijin Mining Group Co, and was fined 705997 yuan in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law on the prevention and control of water pollution in People's Republic of China.

At the same time, the Fujian provincial environmental protection department also imposed a fine of 449768 yuan on the executive vice president of Zijin Mining Group Co and Zou Laichang, the director of Zijinshan gold copper mine.

Earlier, the Fujian provincial environmental protection department has imposed a fine of 9 million 563 thousand and 130 yuan on the Zijin Mining Group Co, and ordered it to take control measures to eliminate pollution until the governance is completed.
