Transfer to the surrounding countries, in addition to more close to the culture and other aspects, communication more smooth and other direct factors, or the world clothing industry pattern adjustment inevitable trend.

With the weakening of the international market, the competition in the global garment processing trade is becoming more and more intense. Some countries such as Southeast Asia, which rely on lower raw materials and labor cost, have gradually become the world's most important place for garment processing.

"In Dongguan alone, the cost of manpower has risen by 30% and raw materials by more than 20%."

Liu Jintang, deputy director of the SME Bureau of Dongguan, Guangdong, said: "these factors create pressure on export oriented garment OEM enterprises."

Data from China Textile Industry Federation show that excluding price factors, the number of textile and garment exports in China increased by only 0.5% in the 1-12 months of 2011, and the number of garment exports dropped by 0.2% over the same period last year.

"This is the inevitable trend of industrial restructuring, and will become more evident in the next few years."

Wang Tiankai, President of the China Federation of textile industry, said that China is still a big country in garment processing, but the large scale production line will not happen.

"At the same time, some of our garment enterprises are gradually moving their factories to neighboring countries."

Chen Dapeng, executive vice president of the China Apparel Association, believes that this phenomenon also shows that China's clothing industry is advancing to the high end of the industrial chain.

At present, China's apparel industry has formed the most complete industrial chain system in the world, and the core competitiveness is changing from labor cost advantages to functional advantages, efficiency advantages and cost performance advantages.

"There is no way to make OEM forever. The ultimate direction of development is to make independent brand."

Chen Dapeng said: at present, the development trend of China's independent brand and clothing design is very good, and more and more enterprises in neighboring countries are making OEM for Chinese clothing brands.

"On this CHIC, there are more than 600 local fashion brands in China, occupying 7 square meters of exhibition area.

In addition, it has attracted more than 1000 clothing brands and experts from 21 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition.

Chen Dapeng said, "the future."
