According to Xiaoshan Entry Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the American Clothing and Footwear Association is the most influential association in the United States. In June 2007, it first launched the Global Restricted Substance List (RSL), which is updated every six months to strictly determine the countries that restrict the use of these chemicals and their limits, test methods, and legal and regulatory citations.

The relevant staff of the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, who are familiar with the entry and exit situation of Xiaoshan, said to the reporter that with the increasing demand for harmless textiles in the global market, the safety requirements for textiles and other consumer goods have become increasingly strict, not only in traditional Europe and the United States, but also in non-traditional mainstream markets such as Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, Africa, South America and so on, The Global Restricted Substance List (RSL) has been applied by more and more manufacturers and distributors, which has a growing impact on the export of related products in China.

According to statistics, in the first four months of this year, the export batches of relevant products in Xiaoshan District reached 16400, with an export amount of 420 million dollars. Compared with the same period in 2012, the number of batches increased by 16.19%, and the amount increased by 2.99%. Therefore, the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Xiaoshan recommends that all relevant export production enterprises carefully study and study the latest list of prohibited substances of the American Clothing and Footwear Association, deeply understand the latest technical and regulatory requirements of countries around the world, and carry out corresponding improvement work in a timely manner to avoid blocking the export of products due to the over standard of restricted substances.
