Lafayette Department Stores Bring "French Customs" To Indonesia.
Galeries Lafayette opened its new store in Indonesia and opened in autumn this year. This marks the company's final entry into Asia's luxury sector.
At the entrance of the shop stands a tower of several storeys. The whole store has four floors, with an area of 12000 square meters, which is 1/6 of the Paris head office. There are 330 brands in the store, including Longchamp, Guerlain (Guerlain) and Sonia Rykiel (Sonia Rykiel).

Indonesia has a population of 240 million and is the fourth largest country in the world. It is another new paradise for international luxury brands. The country's economic growth has exceeded 6%, and the number of middle class has increased rapidly. LVMH, GUCCI, Prada and Chanel have opened stores in more than 100 shopping centers in Jakarta one after another. As the capital of Indonesia, the population of Jakarta is as high as 20 million.

Only four of the 64 stores are located abroad (including the newly opened Indonesian store). The Berlin store opened in 1996, the Dubai store opened in 2009, and the Casablanca store opened in 2011. The Beijing store opens in September. Then the Istanbul and Qatari branch plans to open in 2015.
