In 2007, the total output of mink skins in the United States was 2 million 830 thousand, down 1% from the same period last year.

Wisconsin, the largest mink producing area in the United States, produces 914100 pieces, and the second largest producing area in Utah has 599430 output.

In terms of color, the percentages of mink in various colors are black 52%, dark brown 20%, iron gray 10%, medium brown 5%, white 4%, jewel blue 4%, and other colors 5%.

In 2007, the output value of mink skin was 186 million US dollars, up 34% over the same period last year.

The average unit price is $65.70, up 17.30 dollars from 2006.

Mink farms in 2007 were 283, up 1% over the same period last year.

There are 71 Wisconsin, 65 in Utah and 24 in Idaho.
