First Catch Of Black Imported Flies In Imported Salted Raw Cowhide

Recently, the Lianyungang inspection and Quarantine Bureau inspected a batch of salted raw cattle skin imported from Australia, and found that there were a large number of flies, larvae and pupae in the containers. The inspection and quarantine personnel immediately collected some live flies and fly pupae and sent them to the laboratory for identification.

He was identified by the experts from the media Biology Laboratory of the Bureau as black spotted black flies. This is the first time that Lianyungang port has intercepted spotted black flies from imported raw cattle hide.

According to experts, this type of black flies is relatively rare in entry and interception, and its biological hazards need further study.

In view of this situation, the inspection and quarantine personnel reminded the domestic consignee to stipulate the requirements for inspection and quarantine in the future contract, and explicitly requested the foreign shippers to do well the anticorrosion and insecticidal treatment before the goods departing.
