The data cover the global land cover, including 10 kinds of land cover information, such as arable land, water body, woodland and so on. It helps countries, especially developing countries, to enhance their ability to acquire and apply geographic information and effectively respond to climate change.

Zhang Gaoli also met with President Kutesa of the sixty-ninth session of the UN General Assembly. He said that China will support and cooperate with the president of the UN General Assembly, firmly committed to upholding the basic norms of international relations, and actively promote the international development cooperation agenda and the international cooperation on climate change after 2015.
