Li Xiaowei, male, 38 years old, graduated from Nanchang Aeronautical University and applied in optoelectronic technology. Now he is the deputy director designer of Shenzhen research and development center, AVIC Polytron Technologies Inc Research Institute. In civilian products

In particular, in the third generation of communication base stations, the outdoor optical cable connector is the core component of the whole system pmission. Because the base station has huge demand for outdoor optical cable connectors, it requires the product to control the cost, but the reliability is high. In addition, the core module users of the base station equipment have been assembled in advance, and the module assembly error is relatively large. On the other hand, the module error that the user purchases is also very large. Because the product is also used on the high tower, the operator can not see the internal fiber optic cable condition generally when the worker is operating, so the product should have the visual operation function.

Upon receiving the project, without the similar product structure at home and abroad, Li Xiaowei immediately led the project team to fully analyze the user scenarios and simulate the actual operation with computers. For the first time, a series of outdoor soft connection optical cable connectors were developed and developed.

Due to the advantages of the soft connection structure, the module size and module board are lower, and the connection is reliable.

In addition, the inner part of the connector is made of pparent material. When the user is connected, it can see clearly the internal condition of the optical cable in the connector, prevent the cable from bending and torsional deformation seriously, and affect the performance of the product.

In terms of cost control, Li Xiaowei advocated the possibility of using all kinds of mold to improve the production efficiency of parts.

In the production and assembly of connectors, he designed a special fixture to provide product assembly efficiency, so that the connector can be produced in large quantities.

At present, the structure of foreign similar optical cable connector has achieved good economic benefits. Since its development in 2008, the series of soft connection structure products should have a sales income of not less than 300 million yuan.

The project has obtained 12 patents, 5 invention patents, and won the first prize in Luoyang science and technology progress and three awards in Henan industrial and information technology achievements.

In the field of communication, optical cable connector is used in the core network, which is basically monopolized by foreign manufacturers in the early stage.

Due to the high price of the series of optical fiber connectors, the long supply cycle and the arrogant attitude of the manufacturers, the users can find whether CIC can develop this series of products. At the same time, it also puts forward the following requirements: first, the newly developed products can not infringe the patent; second, it can be exchanged with foreign products: Third, the price can not exceed 70% of the foreign similar products; fourth, the supply cycle is fast.

After receiving the project, Li Xiaowei led the project team to tackle key problems, retrieved dozens of patents at home and abroad, and analyzed the patents, and how to solve these patents.

After several months' efforts, the Li Xiaowei team has finally solved these problems. The newly developed product has reasonable structure, is suitable for mass production, and avoids patent products abroad, so it can meet users' requirements.

A total of 8 patents were obtained in the development and application of the project, including 3 invention patents. In 2013, they won the first prize in science and technology progress in Luoyang. In 2014, they won the three prize in science and technology progress in Henan and the two prize in industrial and information technology achievements in Henan Province. More importantly, it successfully broke the monopoly of foreign manufacturers on such connectors.

Since its development in 2010, the core network has achieved sales revenue of 70 million yuan with a profit of 30 million yuan.
