Adidas Wants To Open 3000 Stores In China And Look Forward To 2020

Adidas plans to open 3000 new stores in China by 2020.

Gao Jiali, head of Adidas China, recently announced at a press conference that the German sports footwear giant will increase the number of Chinese stores from 9000 to 12000, and will also sell running equipment and Colin Currie.

The number of stores distributed more than doubled to more than 2200 cities.

It said that Adidas has catered to the favorable factors in China's economy, such as the new policy of developing soccer industry and population growth. Adidas will aim at the smallest city in China. The company expects that the urbanization process in these areas will continue.

Excluding exchange factors, last year

(including Hongkong and Taiwan) sales increased by 18%. The growth of the company was mainly due to the huge expansion in China.

Gao Jiali said they are cautiously optimistic, but more optimistic.

At present, China is the fastest growing global market of the company. Adidas is one of the companies whose business continues to grow at a time when sales of foreign catering companies such as Hershey Co. and HSY have declined.
