Kampuchea Footwear Association

The footwear industry association of Kampuchea issued a circular saying that due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, buyers in the European and US markets have cancelled orders in large quantities, resulting in a huge challenge for Kampuchea footwear industry.

According to the circular, according to the chamber of Commerce's investigation of members of the chamber of Commerce in March 30th, In April, about 127000 of the total number of workers employed, about 57% of the 72000 workers were able to work normally, 25% of them were faced with a downtime and 12% workers were facing a full shutdown. The other 6% factories are unable to confirm whether the order status can be arranged smoothly.

In May, the situation was more precipitous. Only 11% of the workers could go to work normally. 60% of the workers in most factories could not confirm the order status, and the orders from June to the latter month were even more uncertain, which would seriously impact the overall employment population and the industrial economy.

It said that the Kampuchea footwear industry association appealed to all buyers only on behalf of its members. The order has been confirmed to reduce the payment period, and the completed orders can be accelerated to the factory, so that the factory can have enough capital to tide over the difficulties.

Absenteeism during the ban is regarded as a serious violation of discipline.

Or face unpaid expulsion

Following the 9 day of the Kampuchea government's order to impose a ban on inter provincial and inter County mobility restrictions, the Ministry of labour and vocational training issued a circular at the first time: " During the ban, workers must go to work as usual. Absenteeism is regarded as a serious mistake and may be dismissed without compensation. "

The Ministry of labour has notified the owners of factories, enterprises and institutions that have not been suspended from business, as well as drivers of workers, staff and transport workers, to comply with a number of requirements.

The notice said that workers and staff using personal transport should carry relevant certificates such as work permits and identity cards on their way to and from work.

For those workers who commute to work on the basis of multiple means of transport, the Ministry of labour also requires workers to travel by means of the "transport worker permit" issued by the Ministry of labour and vocational training or the labour and Vocational Training Council, and to carry relevant certificates such as work permits and identity cards.

Workers and staff should not obstruct or prevent other workers from completing their work while they are working as usual, thus affecting the production chain of factories or enterprises.

The circular stressed: "workers shall not participate in or carry out incitement, threats or intimidation of other workers, otherwise they will be punished by relevant laws such as criminal law."

The Ministry of labour and vocational training also requires owners of factories, enterprises and institutions to do business as usual, otherwise it will be regarded as a violation of the royal government's ban and will lose the right to receive sponsorship or other preferential policies during the period of suspension.

At the same time, the owners should arrange for the administrative department to manage the list of workers to work to the labour inspectors and local governments.
