David Rousse, President of the American Nonwovens Association, shared with the guests the statistics and development trends of the worldwide nonwoven industry. Globally, the production of nonwovens is mainly concentrated in Europe, North America and China, accounting for 26%, 25% and 22% respectively. David said that the annual growth of nonwovens in the next five years is very optimistic, which is expected to be 7.6%, higher than the 6.4% level in the previous five years. Manufacturing in the United States is expected to pick up again due to lower natural gas and labor costs in the United States.
